Bad news -- Alpha is shutting down tomorrow, Monday, March 12th @ 5 PM PDT.
What’s happening now? Lots and lots. We have over 500 reported bugs we need to finish regressing and tons of data to analyze. Not to mention, after speaking with Sirius, we can expect some big changes (mostly in terms of new content) that will need testing.
What’s next? Most likely, a closed beta test when we fix most of these bugs. As always though, I cannot reveal any dates at this time.
Make sure to like us on Facebook to stay in touch with other updates and events.
We deeply appreciate everyone who was involved in the process and hope to see you all again. We would not be near as far along as we are now without your dedication to making Lime Odyssey a better game. Please make sure to check your email for a post-Alpha survey. Completing the survey enters you into a raffle to win up to 500 AP.
Lime Odyssey's webpage just got a fresh update, and although it has not revealed as many details as i would have hoped, the new Trailer does make it look like a promising Free-2-play.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Q: When will closed beta be? Summer 2011 (estimated date)
Q: If I sign up, am I guaranteed a spot in closed beta? There hasn't been any information about the selection, but usually, aeriagames, invites those that signed up. However, it is not a "guaranteed spot".
Q: Will my computer be able to run Lime Odyssey? Once the official website goes live, look out for the system requirements.
These are the system requirements, NOTE that these might change for our version of Lime Odyssey, they can only be taken as rough estimation. (thanks to skull12580 for finding it!)
Minimum | recommended CPU: Intel dual-core processor | Intel Dual-Core processor RAM: 1GB | 2GB or more Graphics Card: NVIDA Geforce 6600 VGA | NVIDA Geforce 8600 or more Hard Drive: More than 10GB hard disk Operating systems: WINDOWS XP (Service Pack 2), VISTA DIRECTX: DirectX 9.0C ※ The system requirements are based on optimizing the development of stability and are subject to change.

Concept arts of Lime Odyssey:
3 main race: (From left to right) Human, Pam and Turga:
There are 2 types of classes in Lime Odyssey, Battle and Crafting.
Crafting Class which have been revealed (There are more) are: - Blacksmith - Weaver - Culinary - Tea Maker - Merchant - Carpenter - Architect (Info mentions building houses by cooperating with Carpenter and Merchant desu)
As for the image: (From left to right) Blacksmith, Weaver, Culinary, Tea Maker
So far, the newest max level revealed was 50.
Still, I'm concern if players from Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand are able to play the US version of the game, as Golden Soft have signed it's contract to host the game locally in these 3 countries. (Source)

Now for the game explanation (I'll bold the important part)!
Login page
Character creation page
Customisation given to the player are races, gender, life/craft class (Not battle!) and appearances (Hairstyle and equipment).
Each races will have their distinctive storyline and starting city.
In Equipment and Skill slot, Battle and Life/Craft class are separated. PS #1: This is the older interface version. PS #2: The newer version have sub-separate box for Attack and Defence skill.
For crafting:
For battle:
New players are given tutorial quest in gathering and craft (Note: You don't have ANY battle class yet). PS #1: Don't ask me why she is mining while wearing a full length dress. =A= PS #2: Each gathering action would consume MP and gain exp for Life Class and Base Level. PS #3: The newest update in CBT allows player to choose to skip tutorial.
After completing 4 tutorial quest, you'll be directed into a cave. (Yes, SWIMMING featues ish here!!!)
Then, when you're done speaking to the npc, you'll be given the chance of choosing your battle class. (Finally!)
You're also allowed to jump freely, by pressing the all-so-mighty space bar.
Players are given 3 option in revivng: Nearest village, Save Point and Current Location.

Found another official website for Lime Odyssey. Although Sirius Entertainment's personnel translated the info with weird grammar, it is still readable =A="

Haha, I believe you got the answer right too ^^
Still, Doll-Master is not implemented yet. So worst come to worst, I'll start a money grinding class to earn some $$ until they throw in the patch and I'll retrain.

I don't know if the word "Fail" would best describe the situation surrounding the world of Ragnarok and it's continuing development, but in a perfect world i suppose it's the fairest word to use when looking at how Ragnarok 2 itself has been treated.
Now Shu, because i know you; and perhaps this is simply my fault, i need to point out to you that this game has nothing to do with the Development of Ragnarok 2, Lime Odyssey is a completely different project - as for the latter; Ragnarok 2 has actually started it's first real CBT in Korea and so far, there are no plans to pull it back down to redevelop anything, as things stand Ragnarok 2 is looking exactly the way the new Gravity team wants it to.
So Lime Odyssey is not Ragnarok 2, it's just being Developed by the old Gravity team who created and developed the first Ragnarok, and who also initially started the development for Ragnarok 2 before they all left and created Sirius Entertainment.
Now i myself am very enthusiastic knowing that the geniuses behind the world of Ragnarok are the ones responsible for Lime Odyssey.
Why did the old Gravity team leave though? that's what I'm actually curious about, I'm wondering if it's because that maybe the Company "Gravity" was perhaps handcuffing the developers, writers and artists from being able to do what they wanted to do?

And yes i completely agree, Gravity is not the company it once was; i do not know if the quality of their content really has any bearing on the original Ragnarok team leaving, but they haven't released anything as half as good as Rag since.

This system proved to be affordable for those that like f2p And for those that preffer p2p so that there is no cash shop in game this works too
And GW2 just going to be an amazing game besides the good payment system.

Well I am going to play GW2 Shu is thinking of playing it too, but he wants to see beta before he decides on it A lot of others that we haven't seen in a while, like for example Thania, is waiting for GW2
I am not 100% who will be up for it, but there is defenitely a lot of us that are considering or are sure to play GW2
GW2 is still not in open beta or anything though, so we'r still waiting.
I'd say once they go beta, we could start checking who is going to play and convince more people to join.
Gen I know you could pay for FFXIV, but a lot of Aeth Network doesn't want to pay for their games, which has been a problem with picking games to play all together. But a buy to play game without monthly fees is doable even for those people.

Well Aeria has a really good track record about not restricting other countries, so i would like to actually see you in a game again Shu, i really miss playing along side you.
The closed beta date is ever looming and will most likely sneak up on everyone sort of like how they release EE 1 day early without notice.
If i had to guess, they will release either the date or the actual beta will launch shortly after the 1 Million AP event ends.

According to Aeria, a Summer release is not expected for Lime Odyssey, Q_Q
On the other hand it does show some promise in being a very polished experience, and personally i'd rather play the game during the fall/winter sessions anyway.
So no real date is known yet, for all we know it could probably be next year until we get our hands on the game.

Ahoy, me Limeys!
The anticipation for Lime Odyssey on these forums is almost palpable, and that makes us a glad bunch. It’s no secret that we’ve been pretty quiet about the game for several months, and in the absence of concrete info, theories and wild speculation arise, so we’d like to let you all know what’s going on with Lime Odyssey.
We announced Lime Odyssey last winter, soon after we licensed it, and we were prepared to get right to work on it in 2011 and start a Closed Beta this summer. However, two factors altered that trajectory. The first was that work on the game in Korea is still very much ongoing. They haven’t launched their open beta yet, and the game has been through multiple Closed Betas. The game’s Korean publisher has been working closely with Sirius Entertainment, its developer, to polish the game into something players will enjoy. We recently got our hands on a Korean CB client, and believe me, there’s a lot of care being put into Lime Odyssey.
The second factor is that, in between the time we announced Lime Odyssey and now, we picked up, localized, and released another entire game, Eden Eternal. Our latent mental powers are great, but not so great that we could work on two games of that scale at once, so Eden Eternal got the first release, because it was ready to roll. We’ve also been working on a couple other projects, in various states of progress, so we’re not resting on our laurels. You’ll be happy to know that we have started working on Lime Odyssey’s localization, so the great gears that drive the release process are now in motion.
So what does this mean for you, the players?
First of all, it means we’re not releasing Lime Odyssey this summer. I know the change to the landing page for the game set off a new wave of speculation, but the fact is, if we launched Lime Odyssey right now, it wouldn’t be the game you’re looking forward to playing. We ourselves are dependent on the progress of the Korean version’s development – we’re working at their pace, and we’re looking forward to providing you with additional updates soon.
Let me point out some silver linings, though. Foremost is the “happy coincidence” of not being the first territory to receive a game. If the Korean version launches months before we do, they’re sure to discover some bugs and problems, and get to work on fixing them. By the time we get our official English version ready to launch, you won’t run into many (most? Hopefully all?) of those issues because they will have already been resolved. You’ll start the game enjoying a more polished experience than those who got it first.
Secondly, I don’t want to raise expectations unduly, but I know many of you are looking forward to playing as a character from the mouselike race, the Pam. Korea’s Lime Odyssey isn’t going to have them in at launch, and we may not either, but a later launch means less time between the game’s official start and the introduction of the Pam.
Lastly, Lime Odyssey is now set up to be the major release in its release period. It doesn’t have to brush up against other games, and that means it’ll receive a full helping of TLC from Aeria’s release, localization, and marketing teams. We want this game to be a great success; something lots of people see and say “Wow, that looks so cool. I wanna try that out!” Of course, when we have concrete information about an upcoming Closed Beta, you, the faithful limeys, will be the first to hear about it.
I hope this answers a lot of the questions that have been burning in your minds, causing you to toss and turn at night from lack of sleep. Look forward to more Lime Odyssey info in the coming months, as Valk swoops in with exclusive screenshots, info, and pictures of attractive catgirls/handsome human guys.
Thanks for your enthusiasm for the game – be sure to keep some citrus in your diet.
