For those running into the 502 Gateway Error while linking accounts

For those running into the 502 Gateway Error while linking accounts after purchasing your copy of the game, do not fret, you can simply go back to that registration page and try again by going here: https://register.guildwars2.com/

You will have to simply keep trying until the registration system clears up, currently it's getting so bogged down that not all registrations are going through successfully.

*Some on GW2Guru mentioned that they refreshed the error page about 10 times and it went through for them, i am not sure if that will work for everyone.

Update: Even if you keep running into the 502 error, keep checking your email you used to link the Guild wars 1 account or the e-mail you used in the registration process, you'll get an e-mail eventually regardless of whether or not you can't get past step 2 on the registration website. From there you can simply log in to the beta forums and the client download link will soon follow.

Yeah it's everyone pretty much, ArenaNet is getting DDoS'd by the mass number of people who are buying the game and then linking their guild war 1 accounts/accessing the beta forums.

hmm wonder if it will be the same client I've already got? Since I was already in beta hope it just updates, really dont want to D/L it again :P

Omg i don't even want to image how congested the download traffic is going to be *slowly dies a little*

The current client is 11GB but it was missing 2 races the full release is ment to be about 17gb and allow for 20+gb
It originally D/L'd at 2.5mb a sec (2500kb) was a very fast conection from arenanet

Ahh, well that's not bad i guess. :) although it's not the client size I'm so much concerned about, it's simply the download traffic i am wondering about, now that we have all these people with access to the client servers.

On the 502 error page I just kept hitting the refresh button on the browser, that seemed to work^^

previously i tried from the beggining 20 times, refresh worked better XD

I've no idea if it worked. I had forgotten my GW1 pass , and didn't receive e-mails after pressing reset password , so I kept mashing in passwords and eventually got to the next page, hope it linked them lol :D

should of guessed with Gamestop back to store get money back then go online a buy like i should of done :/ (cant help it i get near game stores and i'm suddenly inside poking around)

It's pretty much most shops, you'r lucky if you got the physical copy (or at least the code from the order today)
