The blog doesn't provide any gameplay details, but it does state that "the armor and weapons in BoI are incredibly detailed." More information on the game should be revealed in the coming weeks.

Greetings "BoIs" and Girls,
My name is Xarfox and I've been blessed with working at Perfect World Entertainment for quite some time now. Some of you may know me from my work with Perfect World International.
Some of you may have also noticed that with the new recent changes to our snazzy website, there has been a new game added which has been dubbed "Battle of the Immortals" or BoI for short. (Pronounced - "Boyeeeee")
One of the primary complaints I see from players across all of our titles here at PWE is that our games share a lot of similar characteristics. Time and time again I hear or read, "Oh great another copy/paste game from Perfect World." I could spend an entire era writing about why I don't agree with that statement, but that's not what I'm here to write about today.
BoI is probably the most unique offering to date from Perfect World Entertainment. What most people may not know, is that a majority of our titles come from our development studio in Beijing, China. BoI is one of the first titles developed by our development studio in Shanghai. This is one of many reasons why Boyeeeee (5 E's usually) is going to provide our users with an experience totally unlike any of our current offerings.
So what's so special about BoI? What makes it unique?
Let's start with my favorite aspect of BoI, the gear!
The armor and weapons in BoI are incredibly detailed. Even the gear you get as a noob is fairly intricate and unique. The set pictured above doesn't even begin to illustrate how crazy the armor is. What you can't see is that the claws independently move occasionally, and the eyes located on the knuckles of the claws look around as you battle enemies. Let's move on.
The armor set above looks fairly epic as you can see. The metal wings and feathers all independently move and shift, giving you a new way to flex on people you destroy in PvP. This last image paints a much better picture in terms of the gear animation in BoI.
You may want to click on the above image and expand it to get a true sense of how insane this set is. You can see how the helmet can open and closes. The shield itself has an open and closed state, and even the weapon has two different modes to convey your gamer prowess to your enemies.
BoI is shaping up to be a truly unique and intense game. Keep checking the PWE blog for more information in the coming weeks. ;)
