MMOsite: The
official site of
PlayOMG's new title
N.E.O (New Era Odyssey) was launched on January 8th, 2010. The correlative report on MMOsite just with brief introduction and very few screenshots became the most heated article immediately. Today, we are lucky to have a chance to interview CEO from PlayOMG. Mr. Calvin Lin, can you introduce yourself briefly to our readers first?
Calvin: Hello to all the audience on MMO Site. This is Calvin Lin, CEO of PlayOMG. It's a pleasure to introduce our latest free-to-play MMOPRG, N.E.O Online, to international players.
As a heavy game player for over 3 decades, I have been playing all types of games, from TV console games, PC games, to online games. I also enjoy participating in game forums to interact with players. Roughly estimated, my total threads and replies have reached over 25,000. As the CEO of an online game company, 'Innovation makes the difference' is the motto that I hold true. Due to my game experiences, I'm more inclined and willing to understand players' view. This is why service is one of the priorities of PlayOMG. I hope that through N.E.O Online, PlayOMG could successfully bring our cordial service and quality games to all English-speaking players.
MMOsite: To satisfy players' curiosity, can you make a general introduction of N.E.O? It is known that N.E.O is developed by SONOV Entertainment, the developer behind Shaiya, will we find the shadow of Shaiya in N.E.O?

Calvin: N.E.O Online is a free-to-play 3D fantasy MMORPG that revolves around the concept of freedom and change. As the developer's slogan 'design the power' suggests, players can freely develop your character and decide the game play. Each action of players will influence the land of Gaia, resulting in the constant changing of the world.
As we all know, PVP in Shaiya has been the major attraction that is highly praised among players. SONOV has kept the essence of Shaiya's PVP features, and further improve the overall battle systems in N.E.O, incorporating more complicated and distinctive design, such as chaos value, group battles and territorial wars. Player will also get to see smoother battle effects and character motions.

MMOsite: Why do you want to publish this Korean MMO in North America? What features in N.E.O attract you most?
Calvin: I believe a good online game deserves to be published worldwide. Potential and varieties are what I look for in MMO games. N.E.O Online happens to meet such expectations. Its
class-free design and intense battles (especially the chaos system) will definitely satisfy hardcore players. For those tired of killings, N.E.O also integrates abundant life skills to add more fun and possibilities to the game. No matter players inclined to PVP focus or casual players, everyone can find the appealing part in N.E.O Online.

MMOsite: How many races and classes can players choose from
N.E.O? Are the classes gender-specific? Can you tell more about the character growth to our readers?
Calvin: Freedom in character development has always been the central emphasis of N.E.O Online. Based on such concept, N.E.O does not impose class restrictions upon players; instead, everyone can develop a unique character with distinctive abilities. When the character levels up, player will receive capacity points that can be distributed to attributes. Since some skills have attribute requirements, it'll be worthwhile to consider carefully about capacity points distribution.

MMOsite: N.E.O is the second MMO published in NA via PlayOMG's game portal. Once it enters commercial release, what business model will you use?
Calvin: Providing a fair & BOT-free game environment is the principle that PlayOMG consider as the first priority. Ensuring account safety and giving in-time cordial services are our emphasis as well. Players can only experience the essence of the game without interferences from improper BOTs or hacking threats. This will be our main focus other than maintaining quality game contents.
