it will probably get it too, GW2 has everything I've ever wanted in a MMORPG, er.. i mean: a Role-playing fantasy epic that takes place in a persistent and interactive online environment.

We recently finished our first closed beta test, and we're now ready to hold progressively larger events. In February we'll invite select press to participate in beta testing, and in March and April we'll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate. And of course, this all leads to the release of Guild Wars 2 later this year.

I wonder if people have to specifically be registered at the GW2 website, or will players already with Arena-net accounts through Guild wars get invites through those e-mails(?). Hmmmmm...

This is another part of why i love guild wars 2 ...its cos it seems that the developers are building a game that THEY love ...not that the suits want to sell. Just like the old days.

A new ArenaNet blog pop up today revealing that the limited beta test for Guild Wars 2 has begun today! "Hundreds of invited players and press from around the world will be logging into Guild Wars 2 for a beta test weekend of high adventure, exploration, in-depth personal stories, and teeth-rattling combat." Martin said in the blog.
Almost everyone at ArenaNet will be logging in to take part in this weekend's beta and playing with all the lucky beta testers. After this beta weekend, ArenaNet is going to reveal more details about the "epic world vs world battles, hilarious NPC chatter, hidden wonders, narrow escapes, hard-fought victories, as well as moments of quiet awe in this magnificent handcrafted world."
Be prepared to receive a flood of information and gameplay footage next week. Also, ArenaNet reveals that "they'll have some very specific information about an upcoming Guild Wars 2 beta event." It seems we are getting one step closer to public beta weekends.
