Aetherea Officially Disbaned.

Just wanted to let u guys know that I have already Disbanded Aetherea in RoM. I took care of the current member who still were active by making an agreement with another guild (Illuminatus). Made a guild merge so that our players could still be active and play the game together and hopefully make many new friends.

I'm pretty sure people will always remember Aetherea in RoM.

RoM was a good game until it got officially released. Then the devs killed it with like 5+ patches of pure crap. And most of those updates they could of fixed fast like pk costumes. But they didn't fix them cause they got greedy and decided to scam people out of money.
We waited for over 6 weeks for them to fix the pk costume drama. Nothing got done, people were quitting every day cause they were being pk ganged up on by people using the pk costumes who never drop anything. So on one hand you have people who don't lose anything at all, and on the other hand you got victims who spent a lot of time gearing up and spending a lot of $$$ to have very pro end game gear item. Then they gang up on this pro player and the pro player drops a item that took like 2+ weeks to make.

Which = fail system=RoM Death

I watched almost every friend leave the game every day until i decided why bother anymore.. almost everyone's gone. Time for a new mmo. ^^

I will be stright with you about the current status of the PVP issues.
Hopefully you understand the reason that I must ask you not to qoute me
on anything I will mention in this msg.

1. Yes, the PVP server with its current rules suck! I will explain what our difficulties are in a bit.

2. Yes, we are losing some players; but the overall population is at an
all time high for the last 3 weeks. Even on the 2 PVP servers we are
hitting 86% suggested max capacity each day (which is 1500 per server,
but our servers can techinically handle upto 2000 though players will
start to experience server lag). Other servers like server 5 (the main
german server) is hitting more than 2000 each night... BUT you are
right, the PVP servers are the lowest populated servers, usually having
only 1300ish peak each day... so from this you can quickly estimate the
number of unique users.

3. The option to move characters was just finished on our side. Now a bit of testing and I am sure it will be made public soon.

What I have stated above are just plain facts. Below I will quickly go through some issues.

1. We are losing some old players (we do not like to lose players we
known since CB, I personally have played with many of them, though they
may not have known i was dev. ). Mainly through the lack of things to do! (Mostly on the PVE side)

2. We do not have the man power to take on all tasks at once (we are
only 70 strong, and was at 35 employees just 4 months ago.. ).

So... now, what we are doing:

1. Building an enormous Addon (enormous as in compared to what can be
done in 3 to 4 months with a team this size). Info about this addon
will be release soon, so please understand I cannot say much details
about it... some players may have found a way into some of them..
but... it will be closed off soon..

2. Making contents for players to do between now and the addon! This is
a big challenge... since our original plans did not include this.

3. Developing and releasing pvp content (not pvp server rules). Once
again no details but here are some of the things we are release (in
order): CTF, Tower defense, Guild castle siege, Server(faction)
wars........ (you will see the first one very very soon...)

Therefore, in conlcusion:

Yeah, the game isnt the best yet. (Maybe far from it for some) But this
game has a dedicated team fully behind only this ONE game! Within a
year, this game will be translated into 14 different languages, all the
promised contents will be already finished, and will have about 2 or 3
large addons.

I read the forums and I understand the frustrations that players are
feeling ( I get upset when my techs tell me that fixing that bug will
take alot of time...), and get upset when things are just not exactly
as the players may have worded it. But I agree with a few things, like
play slowly, help newbies, and if must, come back after some time. Some
games spend years in developement (Darkfall took 8 years...), released
to bad reviews, but still have such a large devoted fans. We are only 3
years in R&D and I am sure that we will grow much faster!

The game might get good, but It will still take some time for it to get there.

i heard such stuff from gm from Rohan and many many mmo before.in short they asking u to wait and it will get better in the long run.but usually the company will drag any fixes or improvement for as long as they can to maximum the profit margin.

later on there will be features that allow lower lvl players or new comers to catch up faster with the old timers.being first comer in a mmo usually dont paid off as company rather focus on new comers who provide a fresh input of activities and cash rather then old timers who usually do not spend much cash any longer.

its true any f2p mmo will get better most of the time if u give it time.but by then new mmo will be much more interesting and the focus will not be on u,rather they will concentrate on new people heh.tat is why mmo usually have a lifespan not exceeding 2-5 years.they are not really interested in keeping players loyalty in the long run as long new players keep coming in.only when new members start slowing down and loads of negative reports start coming out will the company take note and start managing the game better...but by then its usually too late lol.

It's sad to hear that RoM is dying slowly, but hopefully they will release some good content that'll revive the game soon. I really had fun in that game and i miss it so much, but mainly for the people that use to be there.

I mean fully mod a costume would be a few Ks of diamonds... think it's safe to say easy 200 euro per player?

yup they making good money hehe.

i dont really blame them for their short sightedness.but they kinna forget gamers have long memories.i personally will think hard and long to ever sign up for their future mmo release due to their history now hehe

Well I can try it out I guess, haven't checked yet.

Their stocks were at an all time low in the last 2 years at 3.51 eu per share, after they released crapload of people bought their stuff despite the crap patches... they peaked 9.85 I think and back to 8.something now.

They aren't going downhill... yet...

bummer i wanne try this game also with guild but when i read more treads this game also dead :( and all from forum pulling back from that game

i think shu must make a new guild section for new games
like megaten and JD i dont think we focus anymore on those 2 games

same as ROM

my self focus only on Atlantica now but i think nobody like that game becouse of the battle system

i wanne try RF but cant download it always error so i quit that also :(

i stil like to play with you all and also make a great pic of that guild in the game

that is rely my wish but we all must like that game also ^^

i hope we can have a great time in Aion later on

We only make big game sections when we have a reasonable ammount of people from the community playing that game.
