Initial verdict: An mmo like this come once every 5 years. This game will achieve very high ratings in months to come imo. I have to second that quote. I finally finished D/Ling it the other day and played for ab ut 6 hrs. Messing around with costumes etc. the game is nothing short of amazing, and its only closed beta. I expericed no lag. and spent most of my time in metropolis PKing other players I was lvl 5 and killing lvl 10's was kinda fun =D But as Evocator mentioned sometimes it takes a bit to chase someone down if they manage to get out of range. (I got a Achievement award for killing a player while they were fleeing lol) Gameworld/citys are huge and look just like the DC citys. Its a different style of game but very polished.

| Not to mention this is also a Closed BETA , There will be 4 new power traits coming out in OB i hope , Light - Earth - Electric - and another obvious one i forgot . So far we're represented with about 40% of the gameplay in the game and there will be alot more quests , vendors and stuff to buy. There will also be more people that you should follow like the joker or superman. | |

| I dont know whether this could be a long term game or a short term , You know im active as (if you seek amy) so ive already got 4 characters 2 Level 20's and 2 10-12's. Ice/1Hand , Bow/Fire , Staff/Mental and Dual Wield Guns / Gadgets. I could relate it alot like guild wars gameplay style but far far far more advanced just similar gameplay / style. If you liked Guild wars , Youll love this 10x more. It also will not be a monthly subscription game which is alot better for us. | |

| and the its a monthly sub based game with a lifetime subscription for PC Only.
Its the typical MMO type pay but i definetly thing its worth it , possibly a 3 month playable game thats if they constantly add content.
* 1 Month - $14.99 * 3 Month - $41.99 * 6 Month - $77.99 * 12 Month - $143.99 * Lifetime Subscription - $199.99 (Available on PC only)
Eurpope: * 1 Month - €12.99 * 3 Month - €34.99 * 6 Month - €64.99 * 12 Month - €124.99 (Available on PC only) * Lifetime Subscription - €179.99 (Available on PC only)

| 3 month playability hmmmm.... is that the reason why they do not intend to have open beta and will start the game on jan 2011?
i am still not sure about the game as in lag/pvp wise.some reviews even says u will need to take multiple teacher/master if u intend to grab more quests later on and the pvp still have flaws.
is lifetime option temp like that time for champions online or will it be available later on?

is lifetime option temp like that time for champions online or will it be available later on? Not sure what flaws u heard about PvP, but there are several reasons I will attack another player in DCUO. Some of which are: 1) A quest demands me to do so - eg. 12 victims of level difference close to own 2) Arena or legendary battles (2 vs 2, 4 vs 4, 8 vs 8) 3) Prevent an opposition player from claiming a boss bounty for his faction (PvP server) I've been play testing with two level 20 (beta cap) characters - a flying/magic/handblaster villain and an acrobatic/gadget/rifle hero. So far I still do not suffer any lag at all. But I'll confess that I suffered a number of crashes due to weak connectivity to server - wonder where the hell it's located (I hope to do a ping test). One annoying thing I find so far is that Sony Online Entertainment seems eager to launch this product without stress testing its server. I can see why you are concern about lag because of the above. This is dangerous; I don't think I need to stress the hazards of rushing a product to anyone here... Connectivity aside, there are 3 things I wish DCUO would provide: 1) A means to access individual & shared bank at safehouses instead of only at faction HQ so I dont have to travel to store items 2) More loadout slots for keybinding powers and skills 3) Stop re-doing voice narrating for quest briefings - they sound fine Otherwise, the game just needs to clear out any bugs before launch.

| 2) More loadout slots for keybinding powers and skills , This is something thats really pissing me off. Considering i will be a tank the max ATTACk skills i can have are 2 on a slot and the other 4 are Tank buffs. That really should be 1-9 and the pots could be - , Trinkers =. constantly sending that Feedback every time im in game when i can. So far i feel no irritation in PvP except the fact that you will have to Guard with the SHIFT or B button alot , considering you go up against a skilled player , those battles could take up to 3 minutes lol but are pretty fun. Another thing in PvP is you have a power break , but the more you use that the more power will get drained and that will hurt you when in PvP if you dont have any, SOE have been doing good applying 2 major patches the past week. One being a Graphical update and a huge one , about 3 GB , and the second assisting in crash issues and common errors with the (Plug-in controllers). | |

1) Personally for an active player , i dont see it long term , but i myself LOVE DC/Marvel inflicted so i will stick long with it , IT has alot of content but i only have access to level 20, leveling is too fast but that is BETA purposes , i hit 1-20 in 2-3 days , Ive read that release will be harder leveling with a cap of 30 and sooner on it will be to 50. You have alot of freedom in the cities (Metropolis and Gotham- Plus more will be added upon release) and being concerned about your in-game cash isnt something really big. The PvP gear ,if active , could take long to achieve as each piece needs 250 PvP Cash , you get 20-30 in each battle considering winning or losing but this is beta so i dont know how original would go. So far players are hating that the game will release with only 6 character slots on an ACCOUNT , meaning if you want more you must RMT for another character slot . in Beta here we have 16 but a Mod said they might consider having 8 Char slots. 2) The lifetime option is up once the PC version starts , dont know why they are doing it but i could see they realize its not a long-term game.

| ya most ppl agreed this is a nice game.
but is it worth 14.99 a month + cash mail and how long will ppl get tired from clicking the buttons non stop and how often does content updates is a matter of concern.
personally i think if u buy for playing it once a while or u playing with the intention of playing just for a few months then this game is pretty good.if for long term might not be very good unless u buy lifetime version and play it casually as i see the game will run out of content if one does hardcore it all day long heh

| Been looking into this, and kinda fell in love with what I got to see. Is the beta still going on, an r there any keys availible?
As for the game my concern is that it's a SOE game, SOE has a really bad name in my eyes, being EXTREMELY stubborn, money hungry, unhelpfull company with a shitty connection to their servers.
