    Lots of improvements?
    Does it have any kind of gameplay other than grind grind grind and craft craft craft added to it?
    And is the combat working properly yet?

    currently there is only 3 classes at creation. Lancer, Archer and Conjurer( alot more customisation and male/female of every race. so you can have Catboys and Barbarian girls :P

    The game is far more fluid, you can jump! less restrictions on terrain. Combat initiates instantly no waiting for weapon draws etc.

    quest map is easier to follow. i Have not tried crafting yet.

    I'm currently lvl 4 just from running the minor collection quests in gridannia.

    Early days yet, but so far all I see is improvements.

    sadly i didnt get a invite D:. but if the crafting and battle is "improoved since the last time around" should be good enough for meh snow grinding is part of almost all game ;S lol or do u want to start at lvl 100 with everybody lol

    Sure Rox, but it shouldn't be the only content lol
    And crafting I just despise, so if it's still all about grind/craft with that bad combat I'm out

    Combat is biggest part of the game for me, it has to work.

    Combat is definitely smoother than 1.0; those stupid animation locks are mostly reduced/gone.

    UI responsiveness also noticeably faster than ever before, esp. for gathering and crafting. Lot more streamlined rather than the 5-7 window/confirmation dialogues just to do one freaking thing, sans the 2-3 second gap between each menu while the server confirms your last action, lol.

    Gridania actually looks and feels like a freaking forest rather than a warren of tunnels.

    Depends on personal preferences, I guess. Might not be too far off saying they made it more WoW-like, yet retaining most of the FF atmosphere.

    Currently, I put it in the "Will play because there's nothing else interesting for the immediate future besides stabbing a random person IRL." category.

    I might give it another go then.
    Hope I get into the beta to see for myself how it is.

    For now, I ended up playing Neverwinter for now lol.
    Even tho it's PW and I hate it.

    Because of my super low expectations of the game, it keeps surprising me.
    It's still really bad if I would have been serious about the game.
    But while taking it super easy with no expectations it's actually pretty good lol.

    Besides messing with the foundry is like playing with lego lol.

    If anyone gets in to any of the Beta phases, I'd love to try it out on my new gaming rig if possible (I got a spectacular score on the Benchmark tool).

    If anyone who has played it before and doesn't mind sharing a beta account, i would like to see what the game feels like.
    I honestly have nothing to play except normal PC games like the new Devil May Cry and console games.

    I was, until i started to realize how ruined it had become by PWE's business model.

    And frankly, i can not tolerate the art style cryptic uses, I've never enjoyed looking at it in their past games.

    Aah okay, despite everything I told about that game and mainly about PW, I ended up enjoying myself way more than I have been for quite some time with any other mmo

    Probably due to my low expectations and real casual approach

    Anyway right now the game got hit by a 2nd HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE gamebreaking exploit and they've been trying to fix it for the past 12 hours or so with servers being down for about half that time

    "A new organization called “Clan of Dawn” (Akatsuki no Ketsumei) will play an important role in the story of the new game. A new primary NPC named Alfino (Edit: an official transliteration had been provided, and his name will be Alphinaud) is a member of the clan and will be voiced by Shinnosuke Tachibana (you can see the character’s portrait below)"

    Windows XP Support Information
    Thank you for your continued support of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.

    With the announcement that Microsoft(R) will no longer be supporting Windows XP from April 9th, 2014, we regret to inform you that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will no longer be able to guarantee support for Windows XP after the Beta Test Phase 3, which is planned to start early June.

    Due to the fact that Microsoft(R) has already completed the support life cycle of this product, we have found that continuing support for this OS is a difficult proposition. We have instead decided to put more focus on support for Windows 8, and we hope everyone will understand.

    Although support for Windows XP will no longer be guaranteed after the Beta Test Phase 3, our development team will still build from the existing platform. This does not mean that our users will no longer be able to play using Windows XP, and current users will still be able to play using Windows XP.

    We will do our best to have compatibility with our Software Updates from this point forward, but there will be instances where we won't be able to guarantee support due to Windows XP issues.

    Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
