Hi everyone, I've made an easy to follow guide on how to change the font for the chat, as the current one is horrible and cant be read.

You can change it to any font you like, just rename the font to Philosopher-bold.ttf and it should work (it needs to be a .ttf) but I have uploaded what I think is the best font, Arial bold. It's easy to read under small and large sizes (better than verdana).


1) Go to your RO2 UI Fonts Folder. The default path is "C:\PlayPark\RO2\UI\FONT"

2) Backup all your existing fonts, make a folder called Backup and copy "Philosopher-Bold.ttf" into the folder




3) Replace "Philosopher-Bold.ttf" with any font you like, You have to name it as Philosopher-bold as the filename.



Enjoy your new fonts! If you ever want to go back to the original font, just replace back the one you've made in the backup.

Download Any font you like place it in the above folder and Rename it Philosopher-Bold.ttf as that will trick the game into thinking it has the correct font^^

not sure havent checked myself. You may be able to do that in game, the chat interface can be stretched etc so there may be an option to change the txt size.

i tried but no size change, only chat box size

What I'd like to know is if the chat window background fade can be disabled. Would make it a whole lot easier to read even without a font change.

For me the main thing was to disable those all and LFG chats
The spam on those made anything else unreadable

Without them It wasn't too bad
