I'm sure most of you are just a little tired of the whole "Bethesda
vs. Interplay" over who gets the rights to a Fallout MMO (which
Interplay claims to have been working on). Well, through all of the name
calling and tattle-taling,
The two companies have finally settled.
As part of the settlement, Bethesda's parent company, Zenimax, will
pay $2 million to Interplay, and in return, Bethesda will have secured
all of their Fallout MMO rights. While this does open the door for a
Bethesda-driven Fallout MMORPG, the chances of seeing something like
that within the near future remains slim. We'll see what moves Bethesda
makes after this.
