Hackers and bots can break the balance of a game and ruin it eventually. This is happening in Vindictus(KR) now. Reported by Korean media Thisisgame,
Vindictus(called Mabinogi Heroes in KR)'s client is hacked and
exploited by Korean gamers, "from simple skin change to in-game system
remodeling". Nexon has banned or restricted an unprecedented number of
accounts in this month, and they've announced to apply new security
measures to the game's client.
It's said that because Vindictus' Source engine is quite well-known
and open, players can alter the client easily with hacking tools. Thus
there are bots that enable the characters to do transformation freely
without restriction. Although Vindictus is not a hardcore PvP game, bots
do make the game unfair. Below is a video where you can see the player
transforms unlimitedly in the dungeon.
