| http://www.justin.tv/archive/archive_popout?id=285836649watch in IE if other browser cant view it.watch fast before they remove it heh. shu:my opinion after watching and skipping some parts.i like the story part as well as battle when fighting mini boss.but the normal questing and fighting of some of the monsters need some more work. firstly i noticed most of them are stationary and not really aggressive and moving around.granted this is low level area so i will give some allowance later on the mob will show more AI and have more dynamic. secondly quite a lot of ppl refer the game font and system to be a lot like wow aside from the storyline.hopefully they will improved on it later on.i am glad i did not play wow so i probably will not be as put off to the system compare to some gamers who already played wow before. conclusion:i like the story and combat most of the time.but they need to work on making normal grind and questing more interesting.the graphics can use more work but they prob did not boost it yet since its a close beta atm and we do not know when the video was taken so this might not be a updated video. will definitely need to test during open beta when swtor is almost ready.from present video i will give it a short to mid term life so i will probably play it till archage or some other good mmo comes along. however watching the official videos posted by bioware i felt the leak video might be really outdated and there is a lot more incoming so i will reserve judgement till i get to play open beta. ^^ overall this seems to be still better then most mmo out there.feel like aion to me in term of questing style.but better due to the story line.have to really test to be sure if i will play this long term or short term :)

| saw this posted so i post here heh.guess the video posted here the version is a very old one since the mobs is really just basically standing there ^^.good thing in final version the mobs is suppose to be doing something heh Georg gives some insights to how mobs react: GeorgZoeller General Discussion -> Will Mobs Just Stand There Waiting To Be Attacked? Enemies will definitely not just stand around waiting to be attacked, even though, in the end, that's kind of their purpose in an MMO (they are enemies, after all). A few examples: They engage in a variety of activities when not in combat, which include patrols and overwatch over areas where that makes sense. When traversing through hostile territory, it is usually a good idea to fully assess the situation before attacking - just because there's two sandpeople leisurely lounging at the sarlacc pit, it doesn't mean there isn't a sniper deployed on a dune nearby covering the camp. At some times, this can be even a bit unfair - Who'd know that the emergency protocol for the missile platform involved a special ops team rappelling in from above when the alarm is triggered... or who knew that the Jawas had shoulder mounted rocket launchers in their backbacks. When engaged, blaster wielding humanoids often attempt to disperse and find cover, which can mix things up. Humanoids that perceive friendly targets engage enemies will often join the fight as well. Droids are usually a bit more straightforward, as their programming often miraculously omits that sense of self preservation seen in humanoids. Few might take cover, but then again, if you have big guns or deploy-able shields, you might not have to. Smarter / Stronger enemies also react to changing conditions in battle. If a smuggler or agent think they can be a ******** and try to wear down an entire encounter full of enemies by slowly taking potshots from cover, they'll be surprised to find that thermal detonators or targeted headshots make a very effective counter to that kind of behavior. Many enemies encountered in the game will have access to special attacks, defense or other abilities, many of which are staples of the Star Wars universe. Bosses, especially force users, often have a wide array of abilities and the player will have to watch things like 'not fighting a guy that has Force Push while standing at the edge of the Sarlacc Pit'. | |
