| bear in mind they alpha only so will only get better and better.
i dont like test play in game convention...they usually zoom in too close instead of max zoom out which gamers prefer usually.hard to see how smooth the movement is when so close zoom in.
char animation is good.i think i will pick the light elf race or the moggle race that reminds me of lapin in pandora saga hehe.
screen video is too bright also but overall i like the world they showing.hope the music will be good when its officially out.

| Final Fantasy XIV has shown its first real face, the gameplay trailer at GamesCom, as time goes on, more and more were leaked. Here Ffxivcore.Com brought us some news from Cologne, Germany, including some monsters and Armory System. And according to their playing experience the game could be described without exaggeration as an amazing game.
Something to note is that even the farthest objects are detailed and beautiful. Even with this amazing quality, there was no load time. We were told that FFXIV will be "seamless," unlike its cousin FFXI. So far the alpha played smoothly and there were not large issues which is quite surprising for the stage the game is in. (Things are still in development so there are just a few bugs but largely the game seems very polished.)
Here are some new screenshots from Ffxivcore.Com Ariman

| There is no need to know anything about FF to jump in. Every FF release was a standalone to start with anyway, so you could simply jump in ff9 or ff2 or just start out straight in ffXIV | |

| Ok I finally got the game to run hehe. I tested it out for 15 min, and so far my main conclusion is, that the game is really too old now hehe. The opening cutscene was just amazing, I loved the vid. After that it is just a lot of hassle on my lappy. Since the controls are for multi platform, it uses the numpad, so I had to fish up my old & dusty keyboard from somewhere to play propperly It is a long while before ya get used to the controls, also the map is really hard to read, and it is easy to overlook the quests. It is as if you play a console ff but with an open world. You know how in console ff quests don't really show, but you don't have too much freedom of getting lost. But this is way bigger so it's too easy to miss your quests lol. Also since the game wasn't really made for a HDwidescreen my char looks slightly fatter. Uhh simply said. It is really time for the next FF online. Even though this one is an amazing game. If ya think that this all is like over 7y old it's crazy how good the game is for such an old one. | |

| Played it a lil bit more, I have to say, this game sucks ya in kinda. When you get past the controls, and the fact that EVERYTHING is shown in the same chat bar. (Quest text, npc text, player messages, dmg, dmg of others, emotes, item drops (of others), item crafts (of others), etc etc everything in the same chat box omg.
It is such an amazing game, even though it's super old. It just got the ff console games feel all over it :o
