BioWare brought their huge MMO title
Star Wars: The Old Republic to London last week, where Star Wars fans can meet the developers and
even try the game. Although there is no big surprise and important
announcement from the event, there are some new reveals that may
temporarily satisfy those who are waiting the game eagerly.
First is about your companion. Companions are cool design in The Old
Republic and they are not just AI characters who will accompany your
adventure and fight for you, they will provide you commentary,
information on plots and directions and try to influence your choices at
some point. These are what we already known. New detail about
companions is that they may die and gone forever, told by BioWare
representatives.
It's also confirmed that companion can be one of your party members
in Flashpoints(instances) but will take up a player slot. So
companions(AI characters) could be good choices when you can't find
enough players to form a party. Besides, in the Q&A section Writing
Director Daniel Erickson confirmed to fans that there will be a title
system in the game.
