Yesterday, Square Enix, in preparation for the fast approaching beta
version of Final Fantasy XIV, released a video to the public showing
some of the changes in appearance and gameplay that beta testers can
expect to see. Environments feel more natural and detailed, with such
noticeable changes as the lighting inside buildings to the blur on
objects in the distance. The revamped combat system discussed at E3 2010
also makes an appearance, with the position of the status bars like HP
and MP adjusted as well as a demonstration of how fast combat now is.
