In a stunning move that cements Nexon as one of the
biggest Korean MMO corporations, Nexon has acquired NDOORS
Interesting
news for Nexon and NDOORS fans (here!), as Nexon, the gigantic Korean
MMO development / publishing team behind many successful F2P MMOs like
Dungeon Fighter Online, Mabinogi, MapleStory and their upcoming MMO
Vindictus, has just announced that they have acquired NDOORS. For those
of you who don't know, NDOORS is the company that created Atlantica
Online, an incredibly innovative turn-based F2P MMORPG, where players
manage up to 8 mercenaries and a main character in fast, turn-based
combat. NDOORS is also fairly well known for their original work on
GoonZu Online and, more recently, their side-scrolling F2P MMO,
WonderKing Online.
What this means for fans of both companies, or fans who play games
under both companies, nobody really knows, although it is obviously
expected that this could just be shuffling behind the screens, with no
real problems on the main stage. Either way, this is huge news for the
Korean MMORPG industry! We'll keep you posted as this develops, and you
can read the full press release after the jump!
