So umm last week I bought "Final Fantasy (Crystal Chronicles) Echoes of Time" for the DS.
The game is awesome, and the gameplay is very innovative for an FF game.
The interesting thing about this game is, how the gameplay is set up for multiplayer and how the classes work.
The classes here are not depended on the stats of your character, but on which weapon and equips you use (Does that sound familar?)
I have to say this works amazingly well. 1st of all you choose your race, which decides how your stats will turn out. There is one race strong at defense making the better tank, 1 strong at offense making the attacking type of fighter, one good at magic and one good at agility that can doulbe jump instead of single jump, making for an awesome agility fighter.
You can play with up to 4 characters at once or just with 1 it's up to you.
When you select a character and make it use a weapon it gets better with the certain weapon, unlocking new combos, and new skills for that certain weapon.
The weapons and armors that you wear also lvl up the more you use them (they have a max lvl on them, which you can increase with certain stones, the higher lvl they get the stronger they become)
Well there is a lot more to the game that looks a lot like possible parts of the game system in FFXIV and it all works so amazingly well, but I gotta go now so for those interested check this game out or get it on an emulator or so for the computer and test it yourself.
