Dubbed: English language sound+edited for USA/Euro standards
Subbed: Japanese language, with english letters. (not edited)
Subs are preferred mainly by all anime fans. Due to Dubbed anime 99% of the time gets too edited. Don't forget not only do they edit the anime to be in english, they also edit a lot of the action scenes like blood/gore etc to accomodate the US/Euro broadcast standards.
So therefore dubbed anime will be missing parts that the original japanese anime had. Which is why true anime fans watch subbed titled anime instead.
Example.. Let's say in a scene in a certain anime a ninja gets his head chopped off, and blood is spilling every where. The next scene theres some woman showing a little breast action etc.. Most of that is edited out in the US/Euro version.
Let's not forget that most of the time in english sound, the characters sound retarded. But so do the japanese versions.. Specially when it comes to the voice of girls, they all sound like 6 year olds with a lot of sugar in their blood...
So you have your ups and downs in both lol
But still subbed is much better if you want to see an un-edited version of how the anime is supposed to be watched. And how it was intended by it's original makers.
by the way, naruto is a pretty weak anime. It's the new gen version of DBZ. Every 50 episodes naruto gets a new enemy and a new super skill to defeat that foe.. lol :piss:
Check out the top 200 list over at animenfo.com (very good list)
Then find the titles being streamed on anilinkz.com and zomganime.com
I'm streaming most of my animes lately. I'm out of cash, and no room for more DVDs lol. I have maybe about 6-8 terabytes of anime. Yeah, no bs. Been watching anime for about 15 years. :noes:
