well snow and u both cant 100% commit to leading in b&s yet and close beta really is not in sight so this mmo might take like end of 2010 to come out.not sure if its wise to hype it so early heh.
but if u really really want to make a section for it and get ready in advance i dont mind :) we will find a leader for it sooner or later.if not then we will take turns leading like a council inside lolz

It's never to early to hype! I've been hyped-up about blade & soul for an year now! :D
But yeah Shu does have a point , we have AIKA now so we probably shouldn't start more sections now, maybe later

MMOsite is reporting that Blade & Soul will be entering Closed Beta even earlier than Guild Wars 2. Indeed, according to the MMOsite report, Closed Beta for Blade & Soul will begin sometime within the first half of 2010!
Also mentioned in the MMOsite article is a quote from NCsoft CEO Kim Tae Jin, stating that console versions for both Blade & Soul and Guild Wars 2 are being developed in parallel to the PC version:
"Blade and Soul and Guild Wars 2 in the console version are under development. The console market is deemed suitable for release and will allow parallel development."
What console or consoles can we expect to see Blade & Soul and Guild Wars 2 on? No one knows at the moment, but we've certainly got our ears perked!
so its predicted Official release for Korean in 2011 and we probably only see the English Official release for Western in 2012 or late 2011 if we judge from the timespan they release aion korean and timespan they later on release aion north america
but good news is people can probably use gamepad in the game.lolz

It was announced that Blade & Soul would launch its first closed beta test in the first half of 2010. To satisfy players' curiosity to some extent, Blade & Soul developers have been kind enough to unveil main weapons of four classes recently.
Swords - the most basic weapon in a MMORPG
Available to: Blade Master Weapon Intro: Actually, it is unnecessary to go into details, as swords are the most basic weapons in a MMORPG.
Let's take a closer look at how designers have created a sword.
Instead of focusing on the blade appearance, graphic designers have worked very hard to express what planners thought. They picked out and marked similar materials from other equipment and gave a preview image just in order to fully exhibit the materials of the blade. With the purpose of producing a perfect weapon, the designers have injected life into it and made it look imposing and vigorous.
Fighting Gloves – the upgrade version of boxing gloves
Available to: Kung-Fu Master Weapon Intro: A quite special weapon
As the upgrade version of boxing gloves, fighting gloves are carefully designed for Kung-Fu Masters to improve their attacks. In comparison with other weapons, fighting gloves are more suitable for flexible Kung-Fu Masters. Based on different types, fighting gloves will have different changes when their owners begin to go into battle. Therefore, it is easy to tell whether Kung-Fu Masters are ready for battle from their fighting gloves.
Fighting Gloves also have a projecting part on the surface. Please note that fighting gloves are a two-handed weapon and must be worn on both hands together.
Ki-Gong Pe – Used to enhance the energy of Qi
Available to: Force Master Weapon Intro: Force Masters can equip it on the wrist to boost their energy of Qi significantly.
Ki-Gong Pe is made up of a hilt and a long ribbon. It is a two-handed weapon, but what can be seen from the picture is that Ki-Gong Pe is equipped on only one hand.
Axes - Used to unleash forceful attacks
Available to: Destroyer Weapon Intro: One of the most common weapons in a MMORPG like swords.
The axe is a huge two-handed weapon exclusively for Destroyers. Designers have shaped it with a long handle and a single-edged blade on one side. On the other side is a prominent bayonet. Aside from chopping at opponents with the sharp side, players can also knock foes down with the bayonet. It can be said that two-handed axes are the most powerful weapons.

More Q&A with Blade & Soul PD and AD
It looks like the TIG’s 47 Q&A was a compilation rather than an exclusive interview with the PD and AD. Several Korean webzines and websites wrote similar Q&A articles. However, TIG left out some interesting questions and answers. I visited about 10~15 different websites and game portals to collect the missing q&a. Also, the admin at bascentral.com discovered TIG’s video interview which contains an important detail not mentioned in the TIG’s 47 Q&A. Thanks to bascentral.com for the information, and the translation is done by vigevano. From gamemeca.com’s article:
Q: In the video, a character was able to climb and run vertically(? A: There are several skills like that(**NOTE: he’s referring to “swift jump” skill which I lamely called mid-air-dash skill). With them, players will be able to jump from cliffs and reach the other side and run a long distance instantly. This will in effect remove the stress of traveling in game. There is a clear difference in creating a large world and having a lot of content. Q: What’s the meaning behind the title “Blade & Soul”? A: I meant it literally. In martial-arts genre, the sword is the most important component. Blade & Soul means that the piece of iron interacts with the soul of the owner. Q: What’s the system requirements for the game? A: The hardware specification is important [to the success of any game]. Developers know that. Surprisingly, the requirements will be low. I bought my computer 2 years ago and haven’t upgraded yet. It will be a while until the release of Blade & Soul, and wouldn’t gamers upgrade their machines for Starcraft 2? (smile) From inven.co.kr’s article:
Q: Since you developed Lineage 2, what are some similarities between L2 and B&S? A: I was the lead developer in Lineage 2 project and am currently the production director of Blade & Soul. They are similar in genre; they are both MMORPG. However, I want to try something different. Combats, gears, items, and quests will be very different from that of conventional MMORPGs. Q: The game stresses a lot of action–or PVP. But, I highly doubt you can start PVP at level 1. Is there a level cap? And, when or at what level can players enjoy the PVP action and how much? A: Everybody has a different experience with games. Adjusting that cut-off line is a very delicate subject. We can’t solve it by simply adding a tutorial so we’ll see what happens in beta tests. From mud4u.com’s article:
Q: What’s the general storyline? A: We’ll release more information about the world later on. Simply put, 4 races, in the post-genesis world, fight against gods to revert the world back to the state before the genesis. Q: How important are consumable items such as potions and gears? A: [...] We are focusing more on weapons(swords) than armors. That’s more martial-art-like. There will also be enchantment or strengthening options. Instead of potions, we are looking into healing skills. There is no specific healer class. Status–as in HP and MP–will be maintained through different methods. Q: Will there be mounts? A: We planned it. However, we have not worked out the details. We are not going to include free flying. Basically, we will leave [the option of traveling] up to the user. For example, if you are a low level and want to cross a river, you have to find a bridge. However, at a higher level, you can just jump over the river. [...] This is the main difference between martial-arts and fantasy genres. Q: Will NCsoft introduce Blade & Soul in foreign markets? A: We are in the phase of development and never considered marketing elements. So far, the interaction among the foreign offices and the headquarter was limited to sharing what we created here(Korea). To our surprise, the game was well received in other countries. The game is still premature, and it is too early to share it with foreign testers. If we reach that point, we will consider it. Here is the TIG’s video interview. This one seems more exclusive. Most of the questions were already covered in the 47 Q&A, but some were not.
Q: Are you planning to reveal more characters? A: There are 8 classes and 2 are revealed today(**NOTE: This is confusing. There was no mention of any class in the video, but two races. But, he previously said there will be 4 races… huh?). We showed you two classes: one that uses sword and another that uses fists. Q: Is there a mage or healer class? A: We will not follow the traditional RPG class system: tank, healer, ranged DPS, and melee DPS. Our classes will be blends of these archetypes.
xD

The Korean Blade & Soul official has conducted an online survey on players' preference for classes. The results are as follows: Melee Class (23%), Ranged Class (16%), Summoning Class (12%), Healing Class (9%), Magical Attack Class (7%) and Conjuring Class (4%).
Generally, characters using spears are certain to appear in martial arts novels. As Blade & Soul is set in an eastern world, it is necessary to add a class armed with spears. In addition, ninjas who can make themselves invisible and have excellent attack speed, dodge rate, movement speed and critical hit rate and summoners who can summon sacred beasts like green dragon, white tiger, rosefinch, tortoise and unicorn are expected to be added as well.
Stealthy Warlock, Mage
Stealthy Warlocks are able to hide themselves with the help of terrains and imitate the abilities of animals to improve their agility and strength. Mages are capable of moving instantly and using skills to increase their attack speed and slower the opponent.
Musician
In martial arts novels, musicians always impress readers by playing music to attack their opponents. Musicians should be introduced to the game, as they can play different instruments to produce music to cripple foes and bring various buffs to teammates. When the enemy gets closer, musicians can dance to the music while launching melee attacks. If all characters are enabled to dance together, the game is bound to be more amusing.
Healer
Many players have been used to being cured by healers in combat. It cannot be imagined that there is no healer in a large-scale group battle or a monster massacre. The healing class is the most popular and indispensable for any group. In the meantime, it is very convenient to train this class. Therefore, a healing class ought to be added to the game.
Interestingly, a humorous player looks forward to playing beauticians in Blade & Soul, who can utilize their good looks to captivate and damage their enemies.
Blade & Soul is still going to be released next year. Taking account of the CBT purpose and scale, more preparations must be made. Consequently, Blade & Soul is expected to launch its CBT in the fourth quarter of this year and enter into the commercial operation in the first half of next year.

Introduction to the Blade and Soul world! The beautiful dimension world!
NCsoft unveiled 5 brand new concept artworks that will probably be applied in the real Blade and Soul gameplay via Blade and Soul's official site on June 22nd. Players are able to take a sneak peak at the gorgeous Blade and Soul world from the 4 concept artworks with commentary. The idea of this concept artwork is from Star Wars. This scene can be used as challenging dungeon.
The frozen dark base: Player can walk over the sea here.
Rotten Deep-sea: This is a heavily polluted deep-sea where you can see wreckages and corpses everywhere. This scene can be used as underwater dungeon for players to explore the pollution sources and remove the pollution.
