*Edited*
Age of Conan brings in brutality, gore, customizations, beauty, and titties =3 never seen before in other MMO's in one package. This game forms around a new battle system that is the main focus of the game, bringing innovative ways to kill one another. No more double clicking and hot key smashing, now you must go in and slash, evade, aim, block, actually form spells together to create devastating, but sometimes dangerous, effects on the battle field, and behead one another. Not only the battle system is different, but everything is. From the mounts to the Guild cities, AoC brings something fresh to the table.

I like the classes they displayed. Plus the PVP and battling system to me is something I kinda need. Been playing way too many MMO's where all I do is sit there as I double click and hot key smash.

Actually you do far more than that and at least I'm more actively into the game than other MMO's. I can understand if this isn't your cup of tea. I just wanted to post this to see if this raised any eyebrows.

It's better to reveal less stuff cause a hype can easily turn for the worse.
But anyway Funcom games are really well made and i think they wont fail on this one either.

Funcom has made many promising games and they usually live up to their expectations.
I'm pretty sure they'll be successful on this one. I'm quite amazed at their ragdoll physics for this game in particular.
The combat system is intuitive, and completely new compared to ANY other MMO so far. Combo system is unique, it isn't the same type of bogus they pulled in Cabal. I played the PVP weekend with another friend of mine, and we both were amazed of how addictive the pvp gameplay was.
It's becoming much more clear now to why YNK may want to release Rohan before AoC. I'd have to say the content in this game by far much more extensive.
However, this game doesn't suit all players. It's not the type of game where you'd only play it just to stare at your own character and touch yourself. Actually, it's quite the opposite. The character designs are atrocious and much more brute and savage like, but it definitely matches the atmosphere of which the game provides. Most Asian produced MMO's try to provide more asian porn star cookie cutter character designs dressed in armor you'll never be caught wearing in real combat, and it usually works for the majority of players. So if you're the type of person to look for lush character designs over gameplay, best play something else.
Also the game doesn't provide extensively flashy attacks that looks all bullshit like in animes (some dude jumping 20 meters up in the air and does some kind of earthquake attack.) Quite the opposite again, they're much more down to earth skills and abilities that aren't made to be appealing for people that are heavily influenced by asian pop culture. So if that's the kind of things you expect, don't play the game.
This game is made for hardcore pvpers who enjoy all sorts of ragdoll physics like pushing people off cliffs, decapitating people and the overall fast pace action pvp.
To be honest though, I doubt I'd have enough time to play AoC rigorously so I'd probably wait for it to come out with more content before starting. I'm extremely tolerant to all sorts of games, hell I'd even play Hello Kitty Online if they have a kick ass pvp system.

heh the gameplay is suppose to be sick..and i read up on some of the quests..pretty basic questing but the first quest is kinda cool :P And the combat system is very unique along with its individualation system. Graphics are hot too :P Too bad I heard it's hella buggy.

Well I usually look at things from all sorts of perspectives, the game does focus on a genre of players, but it doesn't aim towards the whole global market.
People who enjoy playing games based on lore, similar to how Warcraft has been done. To be honest though, the game can't be described through those videos, as it rarely shows anything amazing that could be done ingame.
It's more of a dynasty warrior online type of game. Except, the sex appeal in this game is close to none. There aren't any super hot dance or anything either, so it doesn't work out for people who want to powerbate to ingame pixels.

I'm glad somebody else actually looked at the game in detail besides me. I also had a hard time trying to convince a friend of mine about how this game is different. The only thing he said was that he hated the armor because it looked too Roman and barbaric.
This game, at least to my point of view, is for people who want something new out of MMO's. The videos I posted are meant for me to show you guys how different this game is. Now I know I'm going to hear that guild cities have been done before and the same for the character creation, but you have to look at how much detail they placed into those features.
For me, I want the gore, I want the down to earth attacks, I want the contact sensitive combat, I want to use strategic stances to boost certain abilities, I want to get crazy drunk and fight people in bars, I want to be hired as a mercenary for guild events without being in that guild while being paid, and I want to behead people on horseback. Like Calviny said, this game isn't for the standard Asian pop culture influenced consumers, this is ment for the people who want something gritty and gory. I've been wanting something like this for a long time (about 2-3 years) and I intend to play it when it comes out no matter what others say.

Well something new about this game is also the Range combat system, its a natural FPS when using a Ranger class. Meaning you have to take your bow and aim at your target then shoot.
Mount system is also different as the calculation of damage is simply much more than just how much attack power your character has. Speed and accuracy determines how much damage you deal in this game.
You can pretty much say the gameplay is more of a Zelda game. Except, it's gory and not appropriate for minors.
I haven't seen any MMORPG's up to date whether it's WoW, GW Rohan or etc doing something that new and intuitive.
However, I'm not rushing to this game in anyway like I've said. I'm waiting for more content to be revealed before I take a step in. I have preordered it, but I'm only doing it for safe keepings.

lmao you get an elephant or rhino mount.
lol?
I'm not sure if you can actually get Elphant or Rhino mount ingame, but it is supposably exclusive. Other than that, no clue. I had extra credits from Electronic Boutique so I just did it anyways.

i dont konw if it's worth it to play cause i heard that the bugs are hellish..like a lot of game craches and PC crashes so it won't be worth the money unless they can fix the bugs before the 20th :S

Well I really like point and click rpg. I kinda old school when it comes to that.
I played them all diablo, fallout, Baldur's gate, Arcanum (one of the best games ever), tormented, and I pretty much tried all wonnabies.
Morrowind and Oblivione almost hook me up but I felt like I'm playing fps so it really sucked. If I wonna play first shooter I would play, and those aiming with magic and bow really suck cause it gives greater advantage to swords so play rpg's how they were originally made and ment to play and those hybrid between rpg and fps fails in my book

look nice, but if its similar to Vsoh i think i will passed or like caviny say wait.these sort of mmo usually attract only certain type of players and hard to say if it will last or not.esp new mmo always have bugs..and i pretty concern about navigation & movement system if its pure wasd.i prefer mixture of both mouse click movement and wasd.
anyway i rather wait for aion and play rohan first.then play both when aion is out heh

it has point and click movement in it and I understand how this game is marketed towards other viewers, but personally I think it'll be awesome. Plus they had some serious CB players testing it out since it was originally scheduled for last October on the 30th but there were some bugs that needed to be fixed so hopefully it won't be uber buggy. But, let's just w8 and c. I'll tell ya guys if it's good or not =P
