Man robs bank of US$1 to get doctor's appointment












An unemployed North Carolina man suffering from a herniated disc
and arthritis robbed a bank of US$1 (S$1.23) so he could get to see a
doctor. Mr James Verone, 59, said he lost his health insurance when he
lost his job after 17 years as a delivery man.

On June 9,
he walked into a local bank and handed a note to a bank teller that
said: "This is a bank robbery, please only give me one dollar." Mr
Verone, who was unarmed and had never been in trouble with the law, then
waited for the police.

Since being in the jail he has been seen by nurses and an appointment with a doctor has been booked. Agencies

ya this is really good policy.when we get old and ran outta money and with escalating health cost we should all rob the bank and go jail so the country will help support our welfare and feed us when we can no longer afford it hehe ^^

Singapore also can what -_- go in jail free food free lodging free health care and no need pay tax still got job inside pay few dollars a day leh!

but singapore dont allow u to play mmo inside or surfing i think.

when jail offer those free of charge i will reconsider the deal heh
