| Balancing is Half the Battle (11/19/2010)
Onearea of focus for the November 24 version update is battle balancing.Among the many adjustments being made are changes to the accuracy ofphysical and magic attacks, enmity rates, actions for all classes, andreductions to the amount of skill points needed to rank up, and more. Character Progression
Accuracy
The accuracy rates for actions in general, both physical and magic, have been increased, making it easier for players to land attacks. Thiswill, subsequently, result in more skill points.
Skill Points in Parties
Skill points earned in battle are now awarded after an enemy isdefeated. Additionally, discrepancies in the amount of skill pointsawarded to party members have been reduced. Together with thesechanges, the overall number of skill points awarded has also beenincreased, making progression easier even in smaller parties.
The above changes will serve to increase the tempo of battle, andalso allow players to obtain more skill points than was previouslypossible. To further facilitate the process of ranking up, the amountof skill points required to attain ranks 11 through 31 has beenreduced. The reductions are most significant for the rank range of 11through 20, as we would like to enable players the ability to engage inmore goal-oriented content, such as the hunting of notorious monsters,at an earlier stage of play. Further information regarding thesechanges will be released in the version update details Topics post ofNovember 24.

| at first i worry they might nerf some classes.but looking at it more closely i think its a good update.
accuracy up for all class
-will hit more thus gain more sp gain
sp rank require drop from 1-31,1-20 will drop a big lump
-this is to let those who cannot lvl fast catch up to those who arealready 40-50.not sure if making game so easy will be good overall.buti guess they need to cater to more casual players to an extend.
skill changes
- esp enmity reduce is nice.and all skill mentions all got boost and no nerf which is a good surprise
skill point balancing in team
-this sound like the team members will share the overall sp afterbattle so there will not be a case anymore where one get 200 sp one get500 sp and the rest of the party get 0 sp is my guess.even tot isuspect the sp will still be awarded more to the highest dps but ithink even those that does 1 hit to it this time around will gain somegood sp in some manner.
this is guessing on my part.will know when game patch next week ^^

| yes but the need of feint comes from the lack of accuracy, and missing too much, if they fixed that then I won't be wasting a slot on my main skill bar for that skill.
Now if they'd fix the skill bar system, and allow to show all 3 skill bars at a time where I could click 2nd and 3d skill bar with mouse that'd help..

| o_0 where did you see me say that it's a bug?
There is a bug with making it go up and down with arrows though, if you use your mouse to look arround at the same time which I do 99% of my playtime, it doesn't use the arrows up and down to switch skill bars anymore, untill I press escape then any skill key again, and then I have to make sure I wasn't using my mouse to look arround again or it won't notice it again and I have to do it over again, which slows down combat like hell.
I wouldn't have that much prob with this system if this bug didn't exist.
But still would preffer the simple Shift + # or alt + # to actiate 2nd and 3d bars and at the same time able to mouse click any skill meaning having all the skill bars on the screen

That's the main problem with almost everything in FFXIV, if you like this, you should go n do a bunch of annoying crap to make it work the way you want. If you like to have your armor/weapons always repaired, you should go learn an annoying crappy craft on the side or look for ages for a crafter. Your class can't hit shit, if you like to hit shit you should lvl another 3 classes to be able to hit shit. No... I should not have to go and make a macro or a fix for such trivial stuff that should have been implemented by the devs 12 months ago. Anyways when I was saying they should fix the skill bar, I wasn't saying it's bugged (which it partly is with that arrow up/down issue) but rather that the way it is right now it isn't customer friendly. Which more then half of FFXIV isn't (see rant above)

| I would appreciate if SE allows the user to customize hotkey action bars, whether to stack them, or display all of them. Some players dislike having so many UIs. But some, like me, love to know i'm in control and want easy combat access. In most mmorpgs i leave almost any action bars out in the open and use them to the fullest.
Also, i do think a drag and drop function would help alot. Most MMORPGs have this basic utilisation, SE should consider it too.
