| At this year's E3, Perfect World Entertainment also announced that they were in the process of developing a brand new MMORPG set in Louis Cha's world famous "Swordsman" book series. This MMORPG, which currently goes under the working title of "Swordsman Online" will aim to bring Ancient China to life, complete with ancient Chinese martial arts and combat. How PWE plans to implement this style of combat remains to be seen, but if you check out the trailer, you'll have to admit that some of those moves are pretty sweet looking. Could Perfect World Entertainment's Swordsman Online be the first MMORPG in North America to pull off that action-fps MMO hybrid, or do you think TERA Online will claim those honors first? Check out the trailer after the jump and you be the judge!

| I take it this will be the second game developed with the new updated proprietary engine Angelica, Forsaken World was the first.
Chinese game development is still very dated compared to Korean game development, though the art styles and techniques are very different from each other.
To me it seems that Korean game development has always had a focal point in art/character design, while the Chinese game development's focal point has always been of the Martial arts and Kung-fu motion choreography, so this could play a larger role in why Chinese games always look the way they look, and why Korean games look the way they look.
That and the fact Korea has been blessed with some of the best Artist in the world, China is not exactly well known for that.
I'll at least give PWE props for trying.

| No matter what they say or do, PW book is closed for me forever now ^_^ It was almost closed before BoI but I had the feeling it would be different for once at start Once again they proved it wouldn't even after all those stories they told it was still PW all over again
For those that want to see an F2P mmo that actually is balanced enough with their cash shop I suggest trying Mabinogi (yes the old one) the only thing that could be considered there as a must is getting a $3~7 pet and maybee a mount, (pets for extra inventory space) which really still are luxury products.
Yes someone heavy cash shopping will get stronger faster, but no you don't need CS to progress at a good rate, and be able to enjoy every of the games content.
Also this game skill matters more then gear (it really does, not like other games that shout this) (example I forgot to switch from my mining pickaxe to my 2h claymore, and still able to own mobs that can 1 hit me while having pickaxe in my hand)
Anyways, here's what you ll get with PW, yay fun at start, omg cash shop gives you power so much at middle, omg those dudes that spent 1000s of dollars r picking on us and even 1 of em needs an army to be taken down endgame ^_^
there you go PW game on a plate

| ya but some can still beat most cash buyers inside if u work a bit.i am still top 1 atm in term of highest power for heretic lolz.for now i play boi cos some of the events is still fun :) and some of the people inside of course=p
pw mmo lets cash buyer enjoy a huge advantage without needing to work too hard for it.that is the appeal for some players but also its downside since most of us do not like to spend money for power.

| like I said there are great examples of f2p games where you don't have to spend or literally have only a few items worth $10~30 total that r considered a must in the long run which usually can be gained through buying em from people or paying people in game to get you some cash for you.
But PW games are defenitely not one of those. Even though PW gives ya the possibility to buy zen the ammount of it needed to compete or do some of the top content is just too much
Ofcourse cash users ll always have adventages in any f2p but there r those where the adventage is extreme and those where it isn't
