| According to Gamasutra, NCsoft has reported "an 836 percent leap in year-over-year quarterly profits on revenues that more than doubled" following the global launch of Aion. The company earned $40.6 million in profits and $144 million in revenue in the third quarter thanks to the release of Aion in North America and Europe. As if that news wasn't good enough for NCsoft, the company's Q3 report states that almost one million copies of Aion have been sold in North America and Europe. Players in the United States have purchases 500,000 copies of the game, while 470,000 copies have been sold in Europe. According to IncGamers, Aion now accounts for half of NCsoft's sales. Aion recently launched on Sept. 22 in North America and Sept. 25 in Europe, so only time will tell if these numbers remain high for NCsoft. Will you be sticking with Aion? | |

| Just like blizzard they happily spread the word of how many copies they have sold but not actual ammount of current paying subscribers.
As far as i have noticed from communities atleast in EU and some in US is that the aion player base is steadily declining.
Hopefully the mmo market will continue to grow so more independent and devoted companies can produce out of the box games so we don't get to play repolished games over and over.
anyway in my list of companies to stay away from Ncsoft comes second just under EA.

| ya ano i agreed their customer base is in decline.
too bad they dont listen to the paying customers when a lot of them say beforehand they will not play long if they dont take firm stance against botting
took them like a few weeks to even stop the spamming of channels from gold sellers heh
but i think they are trying to improve the services more and more.but its a bit too late for some of the customers.first impression matters a lot
