When is the release date? There is no specific date at this time. This is as close to a date as we can get right now:
tanda - 8.24.09 wrote:After we receive the first translation from Hanbitsoft we will spend a couple of months on localization.
We also want to spend a significant amount of time making sure the game is balanced for the western market.
So the closed beta is still several months away.

Will there be an IP Block on other regions?tanda - 8.29.09 wrote:We
tend to only IP block regions if asked to do so by the developer. The
developers only ask this if there is another version of the game in the
region in question.
If I were to pull a guess about the probability of having to block Europe I would say 5%.
This is just a number pulled out of thin air so take it for what it is worth.

tanda - 8.31.09 wrote:Even
if we were asked to ban European players we would try to set it up in a
way so it would only ban new users. We would always try to take care of
our existing users as much as possible.
So I do not see this as an issue that you need to worry about.

What is a PRAN/PLAN/Daughter?A PRAN, also known as a PLAN or Daughter, is the pet in Aika Online.
Your
PRAN starts out as a child, and over time as you nurture her, will grow
into an Adult. The way that you treat your PRAN through your actions
and conversation with her, will affect what abilities she has.
PRAN's
provide buffs, and elemental bonuses. Particularly, the PRAN can have
Water, Wind, Earth, and Fire elements, which will assist you in
fighting monsters of the same type.
PRAN's do not directly participate in combat.
See
Daughter System (Pran/Plan System) for more information.
R02
What level can we get our PRAN's at?tanda - 8.24.09 wrote:You get a fairy after doing a quest that you can get at around level 7. So you do not have to wait too long to get one.

R03
How many PRAN's can we have on an account? You may have one PRAN per character, for a total of 3 characters, and 3 PRAN's.
R05
How does the PK System work?Characters
level 10 and higher can engage in PK (or PvP). There is a PK Mode that
you need to click in order to PK another citizen.
See
[Guide]PvP Guide Part 1: PK Mode for more information.
R06
What are Battlefields?Battlefields
are a PvP instance (event) with multiple modes, such as Team
Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag. The team play isn't Nation VS Nation,
but within Nations, and seems to be as often as you want it to be.
Teams are up to 24 players, with 48 players total.
See
The Battlefield ~ Making PvP even more amazing! for more information.
R10
What is the Castle Siege? The Castle Siege is a weekly event in which 5 Alliances compete to lead the Nation.
4
Alliances are attacking, 1 is defending. The application cost is set at
100,000 gold (subject to change), and your Guild must be level 2 or
higher to apply.
The Castle Siege is held in the War Channel.

How does the Nation / Alliance System work?Information on this is still coming in, so we're not absolutely sure, but check out the
Nation Alliance System thread for more specific information.
Excerpt from the
Nation Alliance System thread:
tanda - 9.01.09 wrote:Nation > Alliance > Guild
Each nation can have 5 alliances I believe. Alliances are made up of guilds.
Each
week there is a castle siege to determine who controls the nation.
During the castle siege the alliance that is in control of the nation
defends the castle against the 4 other alliances in the nation.
The winner of the castle siege controls the nation for that week.

R13
How do Nation Wars work?Information is still sketchy, but we have this so far:
tanda - 9.02.09 wrote:Not 100% sure right now but: I believe there are War channels and normal channels.
If
you are on a War channel then almost every single map can have nation
war going on. Basically you try to invade an enemy nation (through
teleporters) and try to get an artifact (if that map has one). If you
get the artifact then you keep it at least 3 hours or until the owning
nation wins it back. If you steal the artifact your whole nation gets a
buff while you keep it.
An example of one of these nation buffs might be +10% HP & MP.

R14
What are the differences between Normal Channels, and War Channels?War Channels host the Castle Sieges, the Nation Wars, and have
penalty-free PK with other Nations.
R20

How does stat point distribution work?Until
you reach the first job change at level 50, there are no stat points to
distribute. There are, instead, skill points that you spend on skills.
tanda - 9.03.09 wrote:There were no stat points to distribute.
You
get one skill point per level though. At around level 10 there are more
choices to spend skills on than skill points you have.
