| 206.127.155.2 = Nezekan 206.127.155.3 = Israphel206.127.155.5 = Siel 206.127.155.6 = Zikel 206.127.155.7 = Vaizel 206.127.155.8 = Triniel Looking up the IP address for Israphel results in two locations. One is near Washington DC, and the other is in Austin TX. It's been said that the location will be on the east coast so the Washington DC one is probably correct for now. Philadelphia - Washington DC Philadelphia - Austin TX Philadelphia - Sydney AUS | |

| According to a post made by Aion Community Manager Sebastian "Ayase" Streiffert in a thread on Aion Source, the game's North American servers are located on the East Coast. Streiffert's post confirms an e-mail that an Australian player received from a GM last week.
The Aion Source thread was started by a player who feels the decision to place the servers on the East Coast will have "disastrous ramifications for Oceanic players outside the U.S." due to additional lag and connection instability. The user feels this is unacceptable for a PvP-oriented game.
Streiffert says the Aion team "will carefully monitor the situation and if we see a large number of players experiencing issues as a result from their distance to our game servers we'll make sure to take action." You can read his full response, which was noticed by a Massively reader, after the jump.
It is correct that our North American servers are located on the US east coast, and the game servers for many of our other games have been for a long time as well. If any Oceanic players present here have participated in our closed beta stages, I do however think that most of you will be able to vouch for that this added distance does not constitute a major problem when it comes to latency.
Our servers are well-optimized and Aion is in its very core designed to tackle challenging client-server distances. Aion might not be launching with explicitly designated Oceanic Aion servers from day one, but we will carefully monitor the situation and if we see a large number of players experiencing issues as a result from their distance to our game servers we'll make sure to take action; to do our best to prevent any such issues from continuing.

| That's funny how the GM mentioned that there was not much lag during CBT. Considering I've read multiple posts complaining about CBT lag and have experience said lag myself and I'm on the West Coast. I know Ken has the same problem intermittently as well. If they could implement something like Gamepath for themselves, that would probably resolve the issue. As well as gain more players theoretically. | |

| well snow i have best ping at texas speedtest so i doubt lag got anything to do with the latency.most likely due to routing issue with some slow dns servers on the way to aion server.
so they need to address the issue and only big company can get isp from around the world to reroute or repair or update servers heh
