My computer is high-end too The problem isn't hardware related, that's for sure. The main reason for the BSOD is most likely DirectX related. That's why I'm asking for the dxdiag An other reason could be recently installed drivers which give compatibility issues or not having those drivers updated :B/:

| I doubt it. A memory leak indicates that there is a bug in the program which holds on to the memory and doesn't free it when it's no longer needed. The BSOD which windows give isn't accurate at all when you want to find the source of the problem. People always assume that a BSOD is related to a memory leak, especially in MMORPG Games, while the real problem might be something else. Even if you notice that your memory keeps piling up the problem might lie somewhere else. The majority of the issues are either by badly installed drivers/not updated drivers, a problem with DirectX or a faulty install. That's why I'm asking for a dxdiag. You could even have overheating issues which are a cause for BSOD's.
Try to download and reinstall the client again. Also update your video and soundcard drivers and make sure you're using the latest version of DirectX (9.0c). If you did this then you can start looking at issues related to hardware or even bugs in the client.
Kind regards, Regalis | |

My computer is high-end too BSOD are popular with Vista+hardware memory conflicts; you'll usually see about 70% of vista users reporting BSOD related issues while on Vista Premium 1gb laptops(collage students.lol), the problem with that is Vista Premium relies on a solid 900+ mb of ram to function properly, so when the ram is upped to 2gb, the BSOD's go away.
Then you have Navsyt BSOD's, which are strictly Nvidia problems and usually it lays within the compatibility between the video card and the mother board.
But whatever BSOD your getting, it's best to save the report logs and/or send them to Microsoft.

Also if you make a dxdiag like I suggested before we can see exactly what your OS is, how much ram you have, what your processor is, the drivers you have installed etc. Now we can only guess what the problem is since we don't know anything about your system, only that you have an "high end pc". That's the reason why I said earlier that most likely it isn't a hardware problem. Still if we don't have the specs of your pc we can hardly help you with the problem.
Kind regards, Regalis | |

I use windows XP Was/is the PC your experiencing your problems originally Vista built? or was it factory built with XP?
Vista: If originally a Vista package, are you running a "Ghost" XP on top of the vista? or are you running SATA drives with Vista fully un-installed?
XP: If originally a XP package, are you running on XP SP3?
Both instances: is your primary video accelerator Nvidia or ATi? or something else.
If yes to Nvidia: are you using Standard Geforce drivers or Omega Drivers?

| Yeah I understand how everyone feels. I too get the BSODs at least 2-3 times a day, my boyfriend and I don't really like it too much. It's definitely an issue that needs to be resolved quick. :( | |
