Cheating
Always report cheating via e-mail to
aika_support[at]gala-net.com and include as much information about the incident
as possible.


a. Hacking
Violating the privacy of
any account, performing account abuses, and hosting of hacked
items.

Permanent ban on the first
offense


b. Illegal Software
Engaging in,
promoting, or encouraging any illegal activity. This includes but is not limited
to hacking, cracking, and distributing counterfeit software. Use or distribution
of "auto" software programs, "macro" software programs, or other "cheat utility"
software programs and applications. The punishment extends to players who are
directly associated with characters using or distributing hack/cheat
programs.

c. Phishing
Advertising websites that
contain hacking/cheating programs and procedures. Sending e-mails falsely
claiming a legitimate source in order to steal confidential information to
commit fraud and/or theft.

d.
False reports
Reporting any false incidents though any media to
Gala-Net with the intent to mislead Gala-Net staff concerning player behavior
and abuse the punishment system. If an account was newly created for the purpose
of making a false report, then (1) all accounts associated with that IP will be
permanently banned and (2) the accused account will not be
punished.

Permanent ban on all parties
involved in reporting a false incident on the first
offense



II.
Duping/exploiting bugs

a.
Bug Exploitation
Related account (duped/bugged item passed
through account). Exploiting any bug in the Service or in Aika or Gala-Net
product to gain unfair advantage in the game. In possession of bug item, duped
item, or hacked item. Communicating the existence of any such bug (either
directly or through the public posting) to any other user of the Service. This
includes exploiting a game or design flaw. Players should email
aika_support[at]gala-net.com to report these incidents and any information about
these exploits.

- 5-day ban on the first
offense

b.
Duping
Duplicating an item with intention to cheat

III.
Account and Item Selling
Account sharing is not allowed.
Our customer support typically does not assist players who have shared their
account information.

a.
Account Selling/Trading
Illegal trade and transfer of
account(s). Advertisement of intent to or commission of the act of buying,
selling, trading, or transferring any access to your account, character(s), or
item(s).

Permanent ban on the first

b. Real money
transactions
Transactions for items and similar trades using
real-life currency.

This may result in a
permanent ban


c.
Gold sellers
Attempting to sell in-game gold for real-life
currency.

IV.
Harassment
We try our best to maintain a safe
environment in Aika. Please be sure to report any cases of inappropriate
language, conduct, and names to aika_support[at]gala-net.com. Screenshots may be
required for proper jurisdiction.

Impersonation of other players
Impersonation of a well-known
player/guild for malicious purposes.

This
may result in a permanent ban


b. PK
harassment

Severely preventing a user from playing the game for an
unreasonable duration of time

c.
Verbal harassment
Punishment for verbal harassment is based on
the level of severity. The levels of severity are described as the
following:

Level 1: Juvenile
bickering

Level 2: Minor
vulgarities

Level 3: Indirect
profanity

Level 4: Direct
profanity

Level 5: Taboo
content

Spreading
of false rumors about Aika, Gala-Net, or other players.

e. Inappropriate guild
demeanor
Guilds that are based on racist, sexist,
anti-religion, anti-ethnic, or other hate-mongering philosophies.

This may result in a permanent ban for all guild members
involved


f. Inappropriate
names

Level 1: This may result in an extended mute

Level 2: This may
result in an extended mute

Level
3: This may result in a permanent
mute

Level 4: This may result in a permanent mute

Level 5: This may
result in a permanent ban


V.
Chat
We try our best to maintain a safe environment in
Aika. Please be sure to report any cases of chat disruption to
aika_support[at]gala-net.com. Screenshots may be required for proper
jurisdiction.

a. Flooding/spamming
Disrupting the
flow of chat with spamming, flooding, abusiveness, hitting the return key
repeatedly, or use of excessive shouting (i.e. all caps) in an attempt to
disturb other users.

This may result in an
extended mute


b.
Disrupting in-game events
Disruption of official in-game events
and functions. Disruption of in-game events by harassing participants and event
facilitators, unless otherwise noted by event descriptions.

This may result in a permanent
ban


c. Distributing offensive
content
Transmitting or facilitating distribution of content
that is harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually
explicit, defamatory, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity
rights, or - in a reasonable person's view - objectionable.

This may result in a permanent
ban


d. Harassing Gala-Net staff
Harassing
GMs or other Gala-Net staff with rude language or spam messages through any type
of communication. This includes all forms of communication (i.e. in-game, via
e-mail, etc.)

This may result in a permanent
ban


VI.
Miscellaneous

a. GM
impersonation
Impersonating GM staff, indicating that you are a
Gala-Net employee or a representative of gPotato, or attempting to mislead
members or guests by indicating that you represent Gala-Net or any of Gala-Net's
licensors or affiliates.

First offense:
Permanent ban


b.
Copyright infringement
Using the gPotato portal for unapproved
marketing purposes. Post messages for any purpose other than personal
communication, including, without limitation, advertising, promotional
materials, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or make any commercial use of our
service.

This may result in a permanent
ban


c. NPC blocking

This may result in a permanent
ban


d. Player not treating an offense as a serious
matter
When a player deliberately commits an offense for the
sake of irony or humor.

This may result in a
permanent ban
