SquareEnix has recently updated there site and are taking in applications for the Beta Phase of Final Fantasy XIV.

The purpose of this site is to recruit dedicated individuals seeking to take part in the Beta Test phase of Final Fantasy XIV. Participants will be testing game balance and mechanics prior to the launch of official service, as well as submitting bug reports.

All individuals are invited to apply, regardless of their past MMORPG experience. Before doing so, please take the time to read through the below information.

Applicants must fulfill all of the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age
  
• Possess a Square Enix ID account
  
• Click here to register for a Square Enix ID account.
  
• Possess an internet connection
  
• Be capable of downloading large amounts of data
  
• Be capable of submitting bug reports in either Japanese, English, French, or German

Selection of Beta Testers

• Tester selection will be based solely upon the content of applications. Selected individuals will be contacted via e-mail.
  
• Priority will not be given to applications based on order of submission.
  
• There will be several rounds of tester selection, with the total number of participants increasing each time.
  
• Once selected, participants will be able to continue in their role until the end of the Beta Test phase.
  
• Submitted applications will be considered for each round of tester selections. It is not necessary to reapply.

The Fine Print

• The current tester recruitment is for the Windows version of the Final Fantasy XIV Beta Test only. Details regarding recruitment for the PlayStation 3 version will be released at a later date.
  
• The game to be tested is under development, and may differ significantly from the commercial release.
  
• Applicants may apply only once. Repeat submissions from an individual will invalidate all of that individual’s applications.
  
• Inquiries regarding the selection process and/or its results will not be answered.

• Application contents cannot be changed once submitted.

According to Eorzeapedia, the beta will grow, adding more and more people each round. If your application is not selected for the first round, don't lose hope! You will still be eligible for other rounds of the beta testing phase! Those that are selected at any point during the beta testing phase will be able to continue to participate until the end of the beta test.

well it work for me.i just successfully registered.for u since u guys in usa i guess more ppl rushing to apply.i cant even apply if i enter using my na enix member id.

must go to eur or other region to apply lolz

oh i have registered as a guild leader of our website/community.there might be a chance they will allow me to invite more players as a legion if they are open to guild application testing in later beta stages.

but for now according to the website,the beta testers who will be chosen depends on the answers u pick from the questions they give u when u apply so even if u apply later on u still have the same chances as the ones who apply early

not sure mina.but they did say if u double apply u will not get in

also, account from http://member.square-enix.com/na/ does not work with Square-ENIX ID for beta application. so you gotta register a new account for it.

it might work if we using na ip addy i think.anyway i tried registering a new account and its still will not work if i click na so i think all other countries need click eu then select uk and other region.

that one works for me right away the first time applying

i actually managed to registed for NA even with Singapore picked as the country. There were quite a few errors but i think it's due to the overloading of the server with that huge influx of new registrations. anyway, i actually went out to LAN shop to register for the EU just to be safe. seriously can't wait to play :P

to sign in for NA i had to recreate a user id, even tho i used the same email, id, and pw i had for my original square unix acct.

maybe try that? i kno they merged websites a month or 2 ago
